Q - What first interested you in modeling and what finally got you started
I used to do b-indie movies and I was at the chiller theatre convention in nj at bob gonzo's tabe signing dvds,. There I met a girl isabelle stephen www.isabellestephen.net and she introduced me to another model who told me about www.onemodelplace.com . I put up a profile there and on a bunch of other sites and it just started from there.
Q - What are your goals in modeling or other related interests
My goals are to get more print/published work like in magazines like fhm, maxim, playboy, gothic beauty, and magazine/ commercial print ads, to do calanders, catalog work, music videos, and commercials. I would love to be a swimsuit model.I would like to get with an agency. I would like to keep making my portfolio better. I love retro and artsy/ gothy/ superhero/ & bodypainting type pics. I love anything unusual and different. Pictures that stand out. I would also like to work with more fantasy type artists and to finally get a website together... www.kerritaylor.net coming soon. I would love to be a singer. Like a dance artist who performs at nightclubs or something. I always wanted to be a model on one of those nightclub flyers too. lol....My other interests are acting and singing.. i have been in numberous b-horror and comedy movies. I also like to go out dancing at nightclubs and to go to the movies , but i rarely get to go out cuz i am always working..
Q - How long have you been in the industry and what have you learned thus far
I have been in the industry for 2 years. What I have learned is it is very important to be real ,nice, and to be reliable .. There are soooo many flaky/shady/fake models., dont be one of them, there is no reason to be a b*****. I also learned to stand for your principles. to not cave in when jerks try to push your limits. You dont need to do anythin you dont want to. Stand your ground.
Q - Who are some our your role models in life and why
Christina Aguilera/Britney Spears.. Just because they are both so awesome and knew what they wanted at such a young age and were confident and driven enough to go for it. i also love marilyn manson cuz he's a creative genious..
Q - What are your recommendations to someone interested in becoming a model
A lot of girls think they can put up a profile and get instant paid work. It doesnt happen like that overnight.. You need to work at it. Do alot of tfp when you are first starting to build your portfolio and to get your face out there.Go on castings, look on message boards for work, email photographers in your area. Maybe attend some tfp model workshops. I also suggest to write on tfp releases that they cant use your photos till you get that cd of the pictures in your hand. I have had problems when I first started where I did tfps and never got any pictures.. AND always get model references.. There are SOO many pervs out there. Protect Yourself.. I have heard so many horror stories. Also dont let some loser photographer try to push you to do more than you are comfortable with. If you dont want to do something dont do it.. Speak up. Remember those pictures will be around forever. Don't fall for the "agency who says oh we love your look. but first you need a "portfolio" A real agency will not charge you $1,000 for a "portfolio. It does help to have an older "manager" type person who can guide you and protect you from a lot of stuff. Try not to get frustrated, I know its hard not to give up sometimes cuz there are so many scam artists and jerks but dont let them stop you.
Q - If you could go back and redo anything thus far in your career, what would it be
I would have started earlier. I wish I was confident enough at 18 to do this as opposed starting when i was 23. I wish I knew about the modeling sites on the internet then and I wish I went to an agency when I was younger so I could have done more print/commercial work. I wish I didnt let pushy photographers push me around, but now I know better.
Q - What is your definition of Funky?
Originality, being unconventional, different
Q - So what makes you so Funky?
I dont care what people think of me and im strong and voice my opinion and Im always up for doing new, creative things.
Q - Could you describe your version on the most perfect day in which everything was just perfect for you?
A day were I could just relax and lounge. Im always working all the time. A day were I didn't always worry about everything.
Q - What is your hidden weakness or personal passions?
Modeling is my passion.. My weakness is that I am very very shy and I am sometimes not confident enough in large groups of people..

Q - What motivates you, inspires you to go forward?
What motivates me in my drive to be a better model. I look at other girls sites and see all they have accomplished. Im like I can do that too.. I know I can do it. I want to be in magazine and do print ads.
